The Saitama Seibu Lions announced their 2024 coaching staff one week after the regular season ended this month.

Majority of the staff remains the same, with only one leaving. Farm pitching coach Tetsuya Utsumi left the Lions staff to join the Yomiuri Giants and Shinnosuke Abe's team, whom he played majority of his career for.

New additions to the staff include Daiki Enokida and Tomoshi Aoki at the farm level.

Enokida, 37, played for the Lions from 2018-2021 and came over through a trade with the Hanshin Tigers. He will serve as a farm pitching coach and be learning under Tatsuya Oishi.

Aoki, 44, played for the Hiroshima Carp from 1998-2000 and had stints as a player in the independent BC League. Mostly recently he was a coach at Rissho University.
